Low Energy Automatic Swing Door Operators

With the implementation of DDA, low energy automatic swing doors are the most widely chosen option for door automation and are the most cost effective way of meeting DDA requirements; designed to provide improved access and independence for wheelchair users that would otherwise be restricted.

Unlike the fully automatic door this operator is operated by using push pads and in the main is, by able bodied people, used as a normal manual door. The push pads have disabled symbols and are installed at a height suitable for wheelchair users.

Where there is no suitable wall fixing, push pads can be mounted on free standing posts fitted in a suitable area where they are not hazardous to walking traffic and where existing doors are fitted with swing operators a suitable finger guard should be fitted to the hinged stile as recommended in BS7036.

These operators are particularly effective for slow moving traffic like wheelchairs, the disabled and the elderly. A retrofit solution be fitted to your existing door set to eliminate the need for expensive replacement doors.
